atomic wallet breach

Atomic Wallet hacked move all coins to exchanges

There is a still unknown security breach on Atomic Wallet, at least $35 million worth of crypto assets has been stolen. Move your funds ASAP to exchanges but not Binance.

Atomic Wallet claims on hack

We have received reports of wallets being compromised. We are doing all we can to investigate and analyse the situation. As we have more information, we will share it accordingly.

At the moment less than 1% of our monthly active users have been affected/reported. Last drained transaction was confirmed over 40h ago.

Security investigation is ongoing. We report victim addresses to major exchanges & blockchain analytics to trace and block the stolen funds.

Breach is not sure yet, but remove funds if you still have them.

Move funds to exchanges ASAP but not Binance

Binance is our favorite and most secure exchange but they got sued by SEC from USA today. At this point if you want to secure funds from Atomic Wallet you should choose other exchanges as funds on Binance may not be safe themselves.

The Securities and Exchange Commission on Monday sued Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, alleging the overseas company operated an illegal trading platform in the U.S. and misused customers’ funds.

Depending on what you had there first move to exchanges (ASAP) then move to dedicated wallets if you know how to use them. If you have wallets – move right away but i assume this is not the case since you have used Atomic Wallet that got hacked.

Suggested places are:

Bybit exchange

Bitget Exchange

Kucoin Exchange

Mexc Exchange

OkX Exchange

Even if you just make account there and they need KYC, deposit then do KYC as we dont know when more wallets can be drained on Atomic Wallet.
